Licensed Poetics is a podcast where two aspiring writers, B Fung Ling and Derek Dao, talk about books. Every fortnight, they sit down and get (overly) critical and excited about fiction, non-fiction, poetry, film, TV, or any other form of creative storytelling. In LP’s bookclub episodes, they offer their very honest and very writerly opinions on a book that they’ve read together. LP also invites talented people as guests to join their bookclub discussions, or to offer insight into the creative process.

Licensed Poetics was founded in 2023 by B Fung-Ling and Joachim Li in Sydney, Australia. They wanted to create a space where they can share their love of literature and creative storytelling.

Now, the show is created and hosted by Fung-Ling and Derek Dao. New episodes are released fortnightly on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, and Audible.
